TRENDING: Liverpool are interested in signing Mbappe but pulled out of the race due to the numbers involved

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits the Reds are also interested in Kylian Mbappe but a deal cannot be reached due to the numbers involved in signing the 23 year old.

Kylian Mbappe’s contract with PSG will expire at the end of the season and Real Madrid are the front runners to sign the frenchman. Mbappe was recently named the Ligue 1 player of the season but he may not continue with PSG next season.

The frenchman will be available on free transfer this summer but Liverpool can’t meet his wage demands. The 23 year old would reportedly earn around £25 million a year at Real Madrid.

Liverpool are not willing to take up this figure and the 23 year old may eventually join Real Madrid once his contract with the Parisians expires.

Kylian Mbappe will announce his future before joining the France national team in June.

Liverpool are fighting to win the Quadruple this season and if they manage to do so, they will be the first English club to ever achieve this feat. Jurgen Klopp has already helped the Reds win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. They are also in the Premier League title and the UEFA Champions league title race this season.
